Three hours from New York and Boston, nestled in the foothills of the New York Berkshires, is the Hitchcock House Bed & Breakfast. Operated by Ted and Ginger Delano, the Hitchcock House is a 200-year old Shaker built house, reconstructed to provide all the modern amenities while maintaining the simplicity of Shaker charm.
Situated on 123 acres of lawns, ponds, meadows and woodlands, the Hitchcock House consists of a main house as well as a separate guest house. The main house features one King and three Queen rooms, including one that is handicapped accessible. The guest house, rented as a whole, has three bedrooms and three baths, a living area and sun room overlooking the pond and gazebo. Guests in the main house enjoy a full country breakfast in the mornings while those in the guest house have use of a full kitchen.
The Hitchcock House is located 11 miles from Tanglewood, close to museums, antique shops, fine dining, historical sites, and theater. Whether you spend your day relaxing on the grounds or exploring the many treasures Columbia County and the Berkshires have to offer, the Hitchcock House is the ideal place to stay.
