The Berkshire Mountain House is a romantic, contemporary bed and breakfast with broad decks and walls of glass which take advantage of the panoramic views of the Taconic Mountains. It is situated high on a hill surrounded by 50 acres of rolling meadows and forest with walking trails and a spring fed pond. We are close to all Hudson Valley and Berkshire attractions. Jiminy Peak is a 10 minute drive as is the Hancock Shaker Village or the Lebanon Valley Shaker museum. The Hudson River with all its historic homes is within the hour. Tanglewood is less than a half-hour away. Albany is 45 minutes and Saratoga Springs about 1 hour.
In addition to 6 lovely bedrooms in the Main House we have a 1-bedroom apartment/suite. There is also the 4 bedroom 4 bath Meadow house for short and long term rental A sumptuous buffet is available each morning from 8:30 to 10:00 A.M. either in the lovely dining room or on the deck at umbrella-covered tables. Our buffet consists of home-made granola, eggs, assorted hot & cold cereals, fresh fruit, breads, bagels and English muffins, jams and jellies, cheeses and yogurt, home-baked cookies, juices and delicious coffee as well as their famous hot fruit compote.
NOTE: All rooms have bathrobes.
