LVBA Elects New Officers for Board of Directors

Also of note:

The LVBA will be holding two strategic planning session in mid-January and the beginning of February to address plans for 2010 and to develop an economic strategy.  One of the main objectives is  to map out a plan how to better coordinate future efforts with the Town Board and other organizations to build a stronger economic base.

The LVBA has also had two strategy meetings in the last months of 2009 regarding the recent closing of the New Lebanon Grocery Store.  They  have organized a Food Project Committee looking into opportunities to provide grocery store options for New Lebanon.  Updates on the efforts of that committee can be found at the new blog set up by Doug Clark, New Lebanon Town Board Member, at http://dougclark1.wordpress.com/.

Biography of Fiona Lally

 

Fiona Lally is the president of Rasenna Consulting, Inc., a risk management consulting firm for nonprofit and international travel organizations based in New York. 

 Fiona started her insurance career as a broker at Lloyd's of London.  Back in the US, she worked in insurance and reinsurance brokerage at the national firms of Guy Carpenter, Marsh & McLennan, and Rollins Burdick Hunter (now known as Aon Risk Services).

 Her areas of expertise include international insurance, volunteer insurances, crisis management, and specialty accident and health insurance programs. 

 Her services include 1) assessing the liability and safety risks that nonprofit and travel organizations face in their activities all around the world 

2)  reviewing and creating insurance programs, and 3) setting up risk management methods and systems that reduce loss.

 Fiona has been in insurance for twenty-five years and has specialized in serving nonprofit and volunteer-based travel organizations for twenty of them.  She founded Rasenna Consulting in 1991. 

 Fiona is a frequent speaker and author on topics of nonprofit risk management.   A list of seminars and lectures is attached.

 She holds the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation as well as the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.  She also holds brokerage licenses both in property/casualty and life/health insurance.

 Fiona has an honors degree from Brown University in Classical Archaeology.  She lives in New Lebanon, NY, with her husband Joe Ogilvie and their four children.
